I found this old dresser while on vacation in the heartland. I wanted to try something different. Here`s the before shot. Beat up and needed lots of attention to be put back together.
Add some Annie Sloan in Coco and Aubusson Blue.
I love it open!
Lots of dark wax.
I added the wood appliques on the front.
Vintage paper lined the drawers and I used all the original hardware.
Its still sitting in my living room. I`m still staring at it.
I must admit the color idea came from Janet theemptynest-janet.blogspot.com Janet does beautiful work and I just love her china hutch she did in these colors.
Thinking of all you on the east coast tonight, be safe.

I`m really getting bad about before pictures. Today I made sure I took pictures of everything in the works.
Love this old wicker table. The top was badly damaged. The veneer was popping up everywhere.
I apply wet towels and let sit for a few minutes. The veneer easily pop off with a little help of my putty knife.
The wicker is in really good shape for its age. I used Annie Sloan Graphite for the top.
Really love how the Graphite looks with the old wicker.

I just can`t help myself when it comes to old linens and quilts. Some I find are so beautiful with handwork. So many I find were not properly clean and store. I still pick them up and think how I could save this lovely piece someone spent so much time and thought on.
I never cut a quilt if its in good shape. Most of the time the ones I buy everyone pasts up cause of so much damaged. A few weeks back I pick up some vintage tablecloths that were so damaged and spotted and thought Christmas stockings.
How cute is that, love them.
