Suitcase Love

I absolutely love vintage suitcases. I always have vintage suitcases on hand at my mall space. I try to find the best price so I can past on to my customers.  Unfortunately there getting hard to find with the Pinterest craze and prices have got out of control.  So often when found at a great price I can pass on they are not in the best shape or color just isn't right.
This green color looks much better in this picture but believe me with all its dings and scratches not very attractive.  If you remember I painted a old trunk last year in old white and used dark wax mix with mineral spirits to finish it.
I decided to try and paint the old outdated suitcase the same way.
She turn out beautiful! So easy. I painted the suitcase in Annie Sloans Old White and then wax in dark wax and mineral spirits.
Love how the wax shows all the details of the stitching.
This is very simple to do and a quick project. So much better and now very sellable. So don't pass up those ugly suitcases!
Thanks for stopping by and reading my blog. I really appreciated your comments and enjoy reading them.
